Start from work people recognise.
Use familiar files, colleagues, deadlines and competing priorities. The companies are fictional; the decisions connect to real responsibilities.
About StepSim
StepSim is an AIR APAC initiative, built in Singapore by Exeter Labs. It gives managers realistic practice in deciding with AI, and gives organisations recorded evidence to discuss and act on.
Illustrative scene
An AI assistant can suggest an answer. Other AI systems can carry out work on their own. A manager still decides what evidence to check, what the system may do and when a person should intervene.
Those choices can be difficult to see in everyday work. StepSim puts them inside a case with known evidence, a deadline and consequences. The record lets a trainer examine the choices with the people who made them.
Our aim is to make that discussion practical: what needs checking next time, what limits should change and who should own the next decision.

Record what people do. Use written rules and show the evidence behind the feedback. An AI model does not grade anyone.
Help participants examine their route, consider another route and connect the case to a decision ahead at work.
Examine whether a decision was supported by the available evidence, separately from whether events turned out well.
Tell people before they start who sees their named record and how it may be used.
Turn the discussion into actions with owners and dates. Checking evidence and owning consequences remain useful as tools change.
StepSim is an AIR APAC initiative. AIR APAC works on AI readiness across Asia Pacific through research, training and consulting.
AIR APAC publishes AIRS-J/1, the standard for judgment in AI-enabled work. StepSim is its official instrument, and AIR APAC issues participant certification under it.
Exeter Labs, a company registered in Singapore, builds StepSim and runs the platform. It licenses delivery partners and issues facilitator certification.
AIR APAC and Exeter Labs have common ownership. We disclose that relationship here, and AIRS-J/1 declares it in its section 4.9.
