Practical AI upskilling through business simulation
StepSim is a browser-based simulator for managers who approve AI recommendations, supervise automated work or sign AI-written reports.
Each manager steps into a realistic situation. The AI's advice is sometimes right and sometimes wrong. They choose what to check, what to trust and when to intervene, then see the consequences and a record of their decisions.
The session
A facilitated half-day for 15–30 managers:
- A briefing and two individual simulations.
- Each person's decision record and case feedback.
- A group debrief led by your trainer.
- A written session report that records the actions, owners and dates the team agrees.
The facilitator receives the complete report. Line managers receive their own people's records. Participants are told before starting who sees their records and how they may be used. A team session gives a development reading. Hiring and certification use a separate Assessment.
The purpose
Give managers practice in decisions they recognise, then use the evidence to discuss what should change at work: checks, limits, handoffs and accountability.
Practice and certification
The half-day is practice, available now through you, and never awards certification. Participant certification is AIRS-J/1 certification, which AIR APAC issues after a separate assessment on StepSim, AIRS-J/1's official instrument. Registration is open; a sitting runs in the room with a facilitator. There is also an online certification programme for facilitators who run StepSim sessions; it takes registrations of interest.
